Can I disable a hyperlink in Powerpoint once it is used?

I am doing a powerpoint and would like it to track the hyperlinks i have
clicked on to disable them after use, they may be used in a random. is this
possible?

Nah, I've been chasing a heretofore never-noticed bug in 2000, of all the fool
things.

If you want to play:

Create a new presentation, add a blank slide.
Insert, Chart
Accept the default chart.

Draw something else on the slide. As reported to me, it was a slide with two
charts, but it seems to happen with a chart and rectangle or whatever.

Doubleclick the first chart to activate it.
Now click off the chart to deactivate it but click on another shape on the
slide.

Hey! Why'd it do THAT???
