Question 1)For example of simple volume, its NTFS volume
can be extended. But can the volume be reduced in size?
If yes, how can it be reduced in size?

Question 2)Also, When I want to extend eg simple volume,
can I increase its size in the unit of whatever I want?
Or must I increase the size in some unit, such as in unit
of partition of basic storage?

Pls help. Thanks!

1) There is not any tool built in that can reduce the size of a volume, but
perhaps third party software could be an option here...

2) You can increase the size in megabytes, I have not seen any minimum
size, but would believe that few larger increments would be better
optimized than many small.

I hope that you are aware that you cannot resize a volume that existed as a
partition on a basic disk before the disk was upgraded to dynamic, see this
