Is there a way to create an intorduction page in frontpage. I'm creating a
website for a beer company and I need to confirm that the viewer is 21 years
of age before they are allowed to view the site.

Thanks

And, verifying they are 21 on a web site is meaningless, when you think
about it. No proof required.

Just create the default web page as an introduction with choices that are 21
and over or under 21. The over 21 will then be a link to your real home
page, such as default2.htm. Just don't put the under 21 link to point to
disney.com, I think a few too many people have been annoyed by that one over
the years.

Hope this helps,

Yah, I always wonder about that. Must be some legal benefit to at
least having tried to assure an age -- if they get sued they can say
the person lied about their age. Plus the fact that confirming age
on-line is pretty much impossible --

No! It's possible and there are many ways:
http://www.jupitermedia.com/corporate/permissionform.html

Remember how those online software companies did with their
License Agreement? They get all your machine info's and payment first.

Remember how those others companies sending you an eMail and
requesting to click a special link or to verify your eMail before they
accepting new membership, etc.

Now, you can really be the No. 1 to comply the liquor law and stayed safe.

You know better than us BUT when you ask me how then we must
change shoes ;o) Cheers!

Jamie, do your work as a web designer ONLY. After completing the job
make sure you're NOT tied to that company otherwise you must find a
good lawyer.

Let that company Webmaster do all the dirty work of confirming age, etc.
they're well paid to do that and you?

Do a vigorous research and networking on how to implement it validly
--- targeting to protect that company from under age violators and their
money seeker parents' by suing, etc., consult a good lawyer and charge
your fees accordingly.

Ask all the question "Why.... from all I gave you." Include also all
important tangible evident -- those Webmaster are charged to keep
secret: e.g., Home Phone, Driver License, Credit Card No., and SS No.
or ask everybody to Register a one-time process like all online business
are doing now.

By applying all these --- no under age person dare to try. Construct a
good and valid text advertisement and tell us about that company aim's
and purpose, at the same time it uses to scare all minors out --- stress
that the company want their business but strictly followed the laws.

All The Best & Good Luck,
Rino

How can that confirm one's age?
