Can I create a read-only Vcalendar/iCal file for Outlook?

Hi,

I have a web application that creates iCal/Vcalendar files that can be
downloaded into
Outlook.

Only the web application is supposed to be used to modify the
appointment date.

How can I set the fields in the iCal file to specify that the
appointment cannot be
modified in Outlook?

Thanks,

David

AFAIK, you can't since the outlook user has owner permission on the item.

FWIW, I wouldn't think much of a site that tried to prevent me from changing
an ical - I often add notes or edit the subject to make them more useful to
me.
