Hi

I want to use XP faxing services. Would I be able to connect a fax modem to
the same line as my ADSL filter is on e.g. by putting a double adapter into
the phone line and plugging fax modem and filter/splitter into that? Or
alternatively, with two filter splitters could I plug one into the phone line
and the fax modem into that as well as the second filter splitter for the
phone line and ADSL modem to go into?

If not, do I have to disable the LAN and then it will work? Presumably if it
won't work for sending with broadband on it won't work for receiving and what
I would have to do is disable m y broadband at certain times to work XP
faxing utilities.

Do I have to buy a fax modem or will my standard internal dial-up modem work?

The standard dial up modem that you have in your PC should work and you
should be able to use the splitter with a filter.

If you have a voice circuit that you currently share with
your DSL setup, that will be just fine for your faxing. In
addition, your faxing can continue concurrently with the
DSL activity.

Of course, without knowing your modem capability it's
hard to answer, but it's probably a 99% probability that
the faxing will be supported.
