I am needing to burn files to a CD using Windows Media Player v10 - is there
a way to change the name of the file - I would like to be able to change
from .cda format to .wma.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What I *think* you are trying to do is copy an audio CD- am I right? You
can't just change the extension from .cda to .wma- there is more to it
than that. Based on the wording of your question, you seem to want to rip
an audio CD and then burn a data disk of .wma files- is that it? What
exactly ARE you trying to do? Tell us precisely, and someone will be able
to help.

Ian.

Thank you for the response - I'll have to test this to see how easy it would
be for my users to do.

Ian,

Basically - I have some audio files that were recorded with a Olympus
digital recorder in .wma format and I sometimes need to burn these to a CD,
but I need the name to remain the same, i.e., johnsmith.wma.
