Can I change the Meeting Response I want to receive-Outlook 2003?

I want to have different responses to a meeting request than the standards:
Accept, Decline, Tentative. I would like to customize them as we do the
voting buttons for a message. I don't want to send a message with voting
buttons because I do want this to be on people's calendars. Is there a way
to do both?
