I have a new computer with Vista os. I would like to keep some games as they
are in my Windows 2000 computer. Can I install them in Vista and, if so,
how????? TIA for any help.

Not exactly sure what you are asking, it's either, "I don't have the
original install disks for some games on my Windows 2k machine, is there a
way to copy them to my new Vista computer?" or, "Do games designed for
Windows 2k work with Vista?"

Answer to the later, Yes, most games that are supported in Windows 2000 also
work in Windows Vista.

Answer to the earlier question, Depends on the game. Some games you can
simply copy all the game files from one computer to the new computer and
they will work, but more than likely you'll need to reinstall the game from
the original CD/DVDs.

Just thought of another possibility, you might be asking if you can take
your saves from Win2k to Vista. Answer, you should be able too, just gotta
find the save files. Once you install the games on your new computer, just
move the saves files to where the game in Vista saves games and you should
be ok.

Best of luck, if you have problems, post here, be sure to include the name
of the game you are having problems with as well as your system specs.

Thank you, Andy. The key was that I had to copy the old files into the exact
same folder where the new games files were kept. I had copied them to
"temp," thinking I could keep them separate. I'm now up and running with my
old versions!
