I hope I am asking this question the correct way. I just discovered the
Windows Movie Maker this weekend & made my first slide show. I am completely
hooked on learning more.

I was able to add my favorite music to the slide show ~ in fact I was able
to add several different songs to go with the different pictures I used. :-)

What I want to know is if there is a way to add just a certain part of a
song ~ like maybe just the chorus of the song to go with a few pictures then
change to another song, etc?

I sure hope I asked this question right ~ I am really new to this, but like
I said I sure enjoyed making my first slide show & I can't wait to make more.

Any help is greatly appreciated :-)

yes... drag the music clip onto the timeline and trim it to play just the
chorus.... and drag your other music files and do the same.

after trimming, overlap the clips to the extent you want to fade the audio
from one clip to the other.

Oh my gosh ~ that's way to easy :-)

Thanks for the info ~ I think I'm really gonna enjoy this program ! ! !

Have a great week !

Maybe something in the following
tutorial will work for you:

"Splitting A Clip In MM2.1"

Drag the video/audio clip to the
Timeline.

Play the video/audio by clicking the
"Play" button under the view screen.

You will see the Playback Indicator
(vertical line) advancing across the
timeline.

Click the "Pause" button at the point
where you wish to trim and type...
Ctrl+L or click the "Split" button at the
bottom of the view screen.
(you can also make adjustments by
dragging the Playback Indicator)

Make as many splits as you want and
remove the unwanted clips by right
click / delete.

LeAnne... you can always split an audio clip in the collection, but I prefer
trimming it on the timeline, as you often want to move the trim point one
way or the other, which the trim feature lets you do.
