I want to add a new hard drive to my computer and then
make it the system (Windows files) drive. Can this be done?

Do I have to reinstall Windows (XP Pro)?

What brand of computer is it? Usually the manufacturer of the computer will
give you instructions on how to add a second drive . You should be able to
reinstall windows XP if you set the jumpers correctly. I would like to have
more information from you as to what you have and what you plan to do in
more detail.

The brand is ABS, and I know how to make the new drive
the "boot" drive (via bios). The question is (and this is
my assumption) whether I will then have to
uninstall/reinstall windows XP onto that new drive (so it
is no longer on the "old" drives).

Specifically, I've got 2x 160GB Seagate drives in a Raid
0. I want to install a separate 36GB drive, and have all
of the system files (Windows, swap files, etc) on that new
drive. The manufacturer doesn't support how to make the
change, but I know the motherboard does (Gigabyte GA-
8KNXP).
