Can Grow not working...any suggestions

I have 2 reports in 2 different programs which contain an Unbound control.
The value of the control is set by Visual Basic depending on a discrepancy
code for the record (example: an OB code will set the Unbound control to
Overbilled Qty - Billed X, Should be Z. I have the Can Grow property for
these controls set to Yes, and the reports worked without problems in Access
97. Now that I've converted the programs to Access 2002 (company not
installing Office 2003 until August), the Can Grow property does not seem to
be working. Nothing else has changed. There are no other controls
overlapping the Unbound controls and there are Bound controls on the reports
which are growing accordingly. Any suggestions?

Okay, I think I found the answer to my question by reading a few more posts.
Someone mentioned something about not having anything in the Format Property
for the control. I had a '>' symbol to convert the line to all upper case.
Once I took this out, the line wrapped again. STRANGE. Any thoughts on why
Microsoft changed the way that worked (since I didn't have any problems with
can grow in combination with formatting in Access 97)??
