We have a 3-column report that contains text boxes that are set to "Can
Grow". Is there a way to set this up so that if it falls at the bottom of
one column and needs to "grow", it will put the entire text box at the top of
the next column?

Since text boxes do not have a KeepTogether property, this
can be a difficult problem. The recommended approach to try
to achieve the desired effect is to place each text box in
its own section so you can use the section's KeepTogether
property.

The way to get additional sections is to add one or more
group header and or footer sections using Sorting and
Grouping on the detail record's primary key field.

It looks like I can only have 10 section headers in a report, and I have 21
of these "groups" I need to make! In Access 2000 this worked perfectly, has
something changed in 2003? Let me describe exactly what I'm up against:

I have 21 "section titles" in text filelds, each is followed by a "section
paragraph" in memo fields. My report has SectionTitle1 followed by
SectionParagraph1 and they touch, then a tiny space before SectionTitle2,
etc. In Access 2000 if there wasn't enough room for both the title and first
line of the paragraph in a column, it would bump the entire "group" to the
top of the next column.

With no changes to my report, in 2003 even if there is not enough room, it
tries to print the "paragraph" at the bottom of the column and it actually
runs into the page footer. In trying to solve this, I put a tiny space
between the "title" and "paragraph" and now it wants to split my "title"
between columns.

I know this is really confusing, and I'll give you any details you need to
help us...we are really stuck about what to do on this!
Thanks!!

So you were already doing what I said to try, but it doesn't
work in A2003??? If thats the case, then I can't help
because I don't have A2003 installed here.

As for the number of groups, the number is 10, but you can
use both the group header and footer sections. Along with
the detail section, that's a total of 21, which wuold be
enough - just barely.
