Can columns scroll to the next page instead of the next column?

Hi
I need to separate the info of each page of my document into two separate pieces of information. I have set up my pages into two columns - now how can I get the info I enter in column "a" to flow to the next sheet instead of over into column "b" of the same page (or is this even possible)?
Thanks

Instead of setting up columns, set up tables. Go to Table, Insert Table and a dialog box will pop up where you can set it for the amount of rows and columns. If you do not want to see the gridlines, select your table, go to Format, Borders and Shading, select borders and remove the borders. Hope that helps!

That's what I finally had to do and it works, but not as smoothly as I wish it could. It would be great if a future version of Word would allow me to do it with columns instead -Thanks!

There are two types of column - snaking and parallel. Word uses tables for
the latter as Tina has indicated. In what way isn't it 'smooth'?
