Can columns on a report shrink or grow?

I am trying to create a report that could be as few as 1
column of data or as many as 10. Is there any way to do
this - or can there only be a set number of columns
defined on the report?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You define the width of the columns and then Access will produce as many as
will fit between the margins. What doesn't fit spills over onto additional
pages.
