Can calculated fields in forms be saved to a table?

The form Im creating has three fields that need to be calculated to get the
value that belongs in the fourth field. I created a calculated field usinig
the text box command and have the correct results, but how can that result be
placed it the proper field of the table?

A calculated result should only be saved to the table if there are good
reasons why it should sometimes be different than the calculation.
