I'm using Office 2002 (and Vista Home Premium) and on my new flat screen
monitor all the white background in Contacts, for example, is quite hard on
my eyes.

I've toned down the monitor itself (which then, of course, changes the view
of all programs) but was wondering if there's a way to change the overall
background in this program. (BTW, I've spent a fair amount in Vista trying
to accomplish this without luck.)

No.

Milly, thanks for your quick reply even though I don't like your answer.
Thanks! DH

If it can't be done, just say so is my motto. If it can, I am more than happy to provide methods.
