Can anyone tell me how to turn off the web security on windows server
2003 ?

It makes you add the page everytime you access a new one and I hate
it. How do you turn it off please.

Thanks

Why are you browsing from a server?
It's just an extra PC I set up to practice on. But it turns out
someone needs to use a PC for some E classes. So in order to not have
them on my PC all the time I made them go use the server. ;)

Then you're not the one who's got to add pages manually. I say, let them
live with it. :-D

But seriously, are you at all familiar with VMware? It lets you run a
virtual machine from within your current OS, so it's ideal for trying things
out without having to dedicate a PC to one OS only (and it's more convenient
than dual-booting, as you're running multiple OSes simultaneously).

But I wanted to setup a domain and all that good stuff so I need
something to log on with. ;)

Besides I just put it together with old parts I had left over from
upgrades (I up grade a lot)

Worked out pretty good because now everyone in the house has their
own PC.

Me my son and wifey and no one needs to get on my box this way. ;-)
And now I have three reasons to buy new kewl hardware.
Highly recommended (and no, I'm not affiliated with them in any way, shape
or form; I just find it invaluable as a developer). :-)

They use it where I work to load XP on Linux boxes (doesn't make sense
to me Why not just load XP ?) But it is pretty cool.

Ooooh, I pity you. :-)

:-) Well, you can have a virtual domain server, it's just that the one
machine that's hosting it won't be able to log in as it won't be running
yet, obviously...

Right. VMware requires quite a beefy machine, especially if it's going to
be hosting a server.

If it gets the wifey seal of approval, then by all means, get all the
hardware you can get away with. :-)

I dunno--they bought one copy, activated it, and then redistributed the
activated disk image among all the machines?

No they like Linux because they are cheap . They then needed XP for
MS apps so now they end up spending more. Yes they are a stupid bunch.

Ah. So the Linux zealots realized that the real world still uses Windows to
actually get work done.
