can anyone help me?

i have been trying to sign into my messenger but a message keeps poping up
saying my firewall may be blocked and to review my settings!! i have gone
through but cant seem to fix the problem.
also i noticed when i put the password in the number of characters change
when i hit enter
plz can anyone help!!!

Hi becca,

The password bit is normal, it's to disguise it from casual onlookers.
Likely it is that your problem is that the firewall is blocking the port
used for messenger. If this is your personal system, please post back with
the type of connection you are using. If it is a company machine, you would
need to contact the network administrator (who, for security reasons, is not
likely to open the port for you).
