If I connect to my home pc thru remote desktop can administrators see my
seesion and view what I am doing otherwise it is not very secure.

Administrators can remote control a session if you are connecting to a
terminal server. If you are connecting to a Win XP box the computer is
locked on the other end.

Hope this helps,

They will be able to tell you have a connection active,
and they will be able to tell what machine you are
connected to.

They will not be able to see the actual stuff that's
happening in the connection, because it is encrypted.

That said, I wouldn't violate any policies your company
has, because they will be able to see how much data is
passing across (ie, if you transfer lots of files),
they'll be able to see how long the session is connected,
they'll be able to see what machine you're connecting to,
etc. It's their network, after all.

The actual data is encrypted, so they can't magically see
the data.

If they are using SMS or Remote Desktop "shadowing"/VNC, then yes -
they can view what you are doing if they have enabled this type of
use....

Let me add an addendum - they can see what you have on your screen -
if your remote session isn't active on the screen, they won't be able
to see it....

Ahhhh .Yes. They can see what is on my screen because I have used it in the
past to connect to other users before to take care of ID10T errors. And the
ZenWorks remote software allows you to pop in without permission and view
whatever they do.

Is the msmgs software required for remote desktop to work. I unisntalled it
and I can't connect today for some reason.
