I have a backup operator login on the server that I have been using to run a
Windows XP backup job with. It backs up the Outlook files to the server.
The server backup operator login is a part of the workstation backup
operators group.
I am trying to schedule jobs on other computers now.
When I try to schedule a backup job and it asks for a location I cannot
navigate through Network Places to the domain (somenameverylong.com). The
domain name is >15 chars so it gets truncated to the first 15 chars
(somenameverylon). It says the domain is not accessible.
The backup program says that the domain is not available, yet, I can use the
Windows Explorers to navigate to shares in the domain \\server\sharename.
Why is this happening and how can I fix things.
