Can a table be locked?

Can a table be locked, so that it doesn't extend when writing?
I'm using Microsoft Frontpage 2003
 
Could you rephrase that question, in terms that the rest of us can
understand to what you're referring?

I think I understand. Can the vertical height of a table be constrained in
some way? No. Not in any way that's practical.
 
Question could be related horizontal width too
- same answer
(tables widths and heights are minimums "expanded" by any non-wrappable content that exceeds the values set)
