I posted this on the General newsgroup, but got no response, so hopefully I
can get some help on this group. When I plug in a camera card nothing comes
up like it used to, which gave me choices of what to do with the pictures.
Please let me know what registry change or other fix that would cure this
problem.
Thanks so much for any help anybody can be.

First, what are you plugging the camera card into?
Next what software has been added or changed between working and not
working? Windows updates? Anything else?
Is it that a card reader connected via USB is not working, or are you using
the card slots in something like a printer?
Do you see the camera card as a drive letter when you click on the My
Computer icon?
If you can see the card as a drive letter, the problem is likely related to
the Scan Wizard.
If the card does not have a drive letter, then drivers may be a problem.

Thanks for the response. Note my answers behind each question.

First, what are you plugging the camera card into? Built in card reader in
the computer
Next what software has been added or changed between working and not
working? Windows updates? Anything else? Nothing
Is it that a card reader connected via USB is not working, or are you using
the card slots in something like a printer? As noted above the reader is in
my computer
Do you see the camera card as a drive letter when you click on the My
Computer icon? Yes, the drives (ie: readers)
If you can see the card as a drive letter, the problem is likely related to
the Scan Wizard. I assumed that also. That is why I asked what registery
change would fix it.
If the card does not have a drive letter, then drivers may be a problem.

preview feature disabled" and need to "click here" to enable previews. What
is that about?

Thanks for your response.

Instead of replying after each question like you did, you should
consider replying the way I am, so people reading the thread can tell
where the original reply ends and your reply begins.

I don't know if this will work with a card reader built into your
computer, but in Windows Explorer, right mouse click on the drive letter
for the reader and select Properties. Is there a tab that says AutoPlay?
Left mouse click on it and set it up to do what you want for different
file types.

Some people use tinyurl.com to point one to a longer url and I guess the
preview function is so you can see the url the tinyurl is pointing to? I
am hesitant to click on a tinyurl.com link because without the preview
there is no way to tell where you will go.

Thanks very much for the response
