i have a hitachi camcorder. can i put the film i have (at minute on 8mm cassettes) onto my computer

yes you can...but you need an audio video card that will

allow you to input a source...your vcam must have a/v
out...also you need an a/v patch cable (just like
standard stereo cables with red & white plugs but with a
third yellow one for the video)...if you have those then
just plug in and use your own movie maker software or
use "windows movie maker".
