what are ppl's experiences with caller id?. so far the only modem i have
used that works with caller id is a usr courier (too bad usr are bad at
fax). i have a suprasonic 33.6+ that i know for sure supports cid but the
fax service doesn't pull the number.

What do you mean by the Fax Service does not pull the number?

Caller Id works for a combination of the line and device - that is the line
should support Caller ID and CID should not be blocked. Further the device
should support CID too.

I have the exact same problem. I can see the caller's
number when running hyperterminal. However the shared fax
service on Win2000 SBS won't show the caller id info. I
know the call isn't blocked because I can see the number on
the phone attached to the fax line.
