I installed the game and it freezes. I was told by the support team to ck my pak files, when I did they read pak 0 Quake 3 and the size of the file.Ihave a feeling it has to do with my registrey files. Quake 3 is not installed on my pc but was at 1 time and uninstalled. Can't understand why the quake 3 is showing up,any clue? Thanks for your help

I've got Call of Duty for the PC but can't get it to work
on windows XP. It keeps saying "Only part of a
readprocessmemory or writeprocessmemory request was
completed." Have you got an ideas how i can get this game
to install on my computer?

thanks

Hi Bobby,

Reinstall Quake, and then uninstall it to rid yourself of the
remaining files, or try this method if you don't have the game.

Here's how to properly install or reinstall a game (and/or patch):
1. Backup any saved games and/or mods to a safe location.
Save games are often found in My Documents\My Games.
2. Uninstall the game using Control Panel / Add-Remove programs.
* Manually delete the game folder if Add-Remove doesn't work.
3. Clear any references to the game leftover in your registry using this
Registry Cleaner: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download460.html
4. Click My Computer / Rightclick the Drive & Choose Properties
/ Run the "Disk Cleanup..." / Next Click the "Tools" Tab and run
the "Error-Checking" and "Defragmentation" utilities.

Hope that helps Bobby, and best of luck!

Hi anonymous,

Try updating your game using the patch(es) available from:

I hope this helps resolve the issue! :-)

Goto Activisions web site and dig around, There is a
post there that will tell you what the size of the pak
files should be, If yours arent the same, It is possible
that the Cds you have are no good (I dont know what your
system specs are but try this) I had a very similiar prob
and it ended up my cds were no good, Took the game back
to best buy and got a replacement and bingo the game
works. Hope this helps. There has been a quitly known
prob with some bad burned disks out there.
