Call a "Select" stored procedure with DAO or ODBC direct then return parameters

Is there a way to use DAO or ODBC direct to call a SP that performs a SELECT
query, and returns the recordset to DAO, then, additionally returns some
return parameters to DAO. I have no trouble with the first part but there
seems to be no way to do the second part.

Hi,
in ADO you can use .NextRecordset for this. as for DAO - I think you can add
one more field(s) to SELECT and put parameter(s) there
