Calkendar text size

Everytime i try to put text on a calendar,it's defaulted at large text.
How can i set the default text to size 12

It's impossible to help you without knowing the source of the "calendar"
you're typing in. This isn't something that's built into Word, so we have
no way of knowing what you're using...

I'm using the Calendar template in Word 2002
