Sometimes there is a calender on my desktop when I start Windows XP. When I
change the wallpaper it goes away! Is this part of Windows XP? If so, how do
I turn it on and off?

There is NO calendar in XP.

There is a program called Virtual Calendar and that is exactly what it does.
Did you by chance install this inadvertently?
 
Sorry guys. I managed to figure out what it is. It's not part of XP but
another program I use to change my wallpaper!
