Calender graphic for choosing dates?

To avoid slow/lengthy typing of dates for data entry, is there a way to
create a picture of a calender where I can click on the appropriate date?
That is easy enough for an educated beginner to do?

I'm spoiled by years of internet use, where bright programmers have figured
this out for html.
