We currently have Outlook 2002 set up to connect using a POP3 format instead
of an exchange server. Unfortunately, I have a user that wishes to share her
calendar with another user. Because we are not connecting to the exchange
server, I cannot use the Delegate add-in. It appears that I am unable to
share the calendar with the current configuration. Does anyone know of a way
around this? Re-configuring the mail server is not an option.

I have used a shareware program with success to do what you want to do. See
the link at"

Also, if you have a Windows XP Pro machine, you're supposed to be able to
configure it to act as an exchange server. I don't have a XP machine at
home and with the little experience I get using it at a client's office, it
was not readily apparent (or easy) to make it act that way and I gave up
after 15 minutes of having no clue.

Anyone know how to do it with XP?

The shareware program link above (Outlook Folders) was easy to set up. A
very few of the menu items are in German but it's not a problem if you don't
mind "complete installation" being spelled "Komplete installation"!

No, that's not the case. Exchange Server requires a server version of WIndows, not XP.
