Calendar Search not working Outlook 2007 Beta

When I create a new appointment in Outlook2007, the results are not reflected
in a subsequent search. Even closing out of Outlook does not solve the
problem. Only after rebooting the computer does Outlook recognize the event.
What is the issue? I do have the item closed and saved, I even clicked
"close all items" to be sure. While I can see the item in the full month
view, I type in the title of the event and nothing comes up.

How are you searching for the item? Are you using Windows Desktop Search, v
3.0 Beta? If yes, it can take some time to search and index the results.

Remember, both applications are beta, have error reporting code in them that
slows them down, and have not been completed nor optimized for production
release.

No, I am not using Windows Desktop, I am using the built-in "Instant-Search"
function, although I do now see the results.

Since the lack of results was merely a time-delay of the indexing process,
is there or will there be any way to manually index items? My problem is
that I created quite a few events that are somewhat related, but I wish to
edit all of them. Rather than selecting each one, it would be nice to see
what I just created, or quickly search for the items.

The built-in Instant Search is based on WDS, IIRC, so you may need to just
wait a while before searching.

I do not have the Outlook 2007 Beta version. However, my calendar instant
search is not working at all. When I try to index through Outlook:
Tools-Instant Search-IndexingStatus....I receive a message of

Outlook is currently indexing your items.

The results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed.

10268 remaining in personal folders
10333 remaining across all open mailboxes

Last week it said about 9000 and the week before it said about 8000. How
long does it take to index? It has been two weeks and I need the information
for my taxes without having to go through every day individually. I have
rebuilt the index through the control panel and it says that it has
accomplished it but nothing shows in Outlook.

Is there something I can do to make it go faster than two weeks? Can I
leave the computer running for a certain amount of time? The number has
changed in the message by about a thousand every week.....at this rate it
will take me all year.

Any help that you can provide would be helpful.....I have been pulling my
hair out trying to figure this one out.
