Calendar scheduler that blocks time out by type of inquiry

In 2001 I came across a web-based product that allows people to view my
calendar and schedule an appointment automatically. It is set up to qualify
the appointment inquiry and only show available appointment times for the
type of service they inquired about. This allows me to say I only take new
vendor inquiry calls on Wednesdays between 8-3. I could also set up my
preferences to say I only allow current vendor calls every morning from 9-11
and so on.

I've been using this system for 4 years. I instruct people via my voicemail
recording, and through auto email replies, where to find my online scheduling
center. After they make their appointment it sends both of us a confirmation
and then a reminder the day before. It's freed up my time, and my vendors
rave about it because they know they have my full attention during the
appointed time -- and they don't have to keep calling and emailing to try and
catch me.

Would love to see this incorporated into Outlook functionality!

And put a successful third party vendor out of business?? Isn't this what
people complain about when Microsoft usurps and idea that a third party
vendor has made into a successful business, and then Microsoft embraces the
idea, extends it for Microsoft only, and extinguishes the third party
vendor?

Frankly, I am surprised that you show little loyalty to the third party who
has made your life easier by offering the solution you are using.
