I am looking for an app that will allow me to print calendars.
Anyone know of a nice one that works with XP?
If none freeware, any shareware/commercial that can be recommended?
Preferable an app that allows monthly, 12 month, add own picture etc.
and other changeable options to the app.
Thanks

I use http://www.bento.ad.jp/freeware/english/

It keeps pushing Canon Printers, but I've got HP and it still works.
You can use your own pictures, high-light holidays and start week with
Monday or Sunday (I prefer Sunday to Saturday)

Please don't request non-freeware programs in this group.
alt.comp.freeware is supposed to be for the discussion of freeware only.
Now that I've mentioned that, here's a freeware program you can
check out if you've got the space and can download a large file:

http://www.openoffice.org/

Probably overkill, but it *is* a fine office suite and can make
personalized calendars (as most other word processor programs can).

Note that I can't see any of Andy Mabbett's troll posts
because I have him killfiled.

I like Martin's Web Calendar at
http://www.wmeadow.demon.co.uk/calendar/mwc.htm. Not exactly what you
are looking for (very vanilla), but very good for a specified period
of time like a youth sports season or a project that will last a few
months.

I *do* realise that but after some similar requests for calendar apps in
this NG, I have not seen any replies so figured that perhaps that their
weren't any and if my only way of getting something to do what I wanted
was a shareware/commercial route, then at last resort I would have
looked into that.
Thanks for the link.

I posted this in response to your Oct. 1 request - perhaps you missed
it:

This might be worth a look. I just tracked down a French site that has
Calendar Maker v2.5 by Brian Curtin - which may not be compatible with
XP - it does not do photos - it *does* allow you to add personalized
information. Seems to be a well liked program - it was at this link:
http://pantheon.yale.edu/~bdc5/calmaker/cm25inst.zip and most web pages
that show it still point there.

Haven't tried it yet . . .

Calendar Maker
Nom de l'archive : cm25inst.zip
Taille : 2099 ko
Freeware
Environnements : Windows 98, Windows NT,
Windows 95, Windows 2000, Windows Millenium
Langues : Anglais

The description below was copied from another site (with a dead link):

<quote>
"Calendar Maker is a program you can use to create personalized
calendars. With event categories of birthdays, holidays, and
anniversaries, it is primarily for family use. However, many use
Calendar Maker for basic scheduling needs.

Calendar Maker was designed with simplicity in mind as the most
important factor. Consequently, the program uses very basic, intuitive
dialogs that guide you through the process of calendar creation. The
calendars you make can be viewed within the program itself, as upcoming
events using the Desktop Calendar, printed out month-by-month, or
exported to HTML for anyone to view."

So why ask for non freeware recommendations here ? There are shareware
newsgroups for shareware requests.

Nothing stopping you looking at non freeware solutions. That's why eg.
shareware newsgroups exist.
