Calendar items text not appearing

I hope someone can help us with this problem. We are using Office XP with
Windows XP.

A couple of users who are using XP have their calendar appointments blank.
There are the times blocked out but they do not show the text. When we click
into the appointments the text appears, but when we click away it
disappears. Has anyone come across this? It only started once we upgraded
the users to XP - their calendars worked fine with 2K.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just an idea - but this may be a memory issue with your computer, esp since
you just did the Win XP upgrade. how much memory do you have? does it help
if you close all other applications?
 
Thanks for the response. The memory is fine. We notice that if we give users
local admin or power user permissions it will work correctly, but if we take
them out of that, it goes back to showing blank appointments. But we are not
sure why this should be so. We do not want to give local admin or power user
permission if we can help it.
