The calendar icon in the left hand navigation menu does not bring up my
personal calendar. Nothing happens when I click on it. The list only contains
"archive calendar". The only way to open it is from the today menu or by
right clicking on the calendar icon and clicking on "open in a new window".
How to restore the link between the calendar icon and the calendar I use?

Try resetting the Navigation Pane. Click the >> at the bottom of the Nav
Pane, choose Navigation Pane Options, then click Reset. If that doesn't
work, start Outlook once with the /resetnavpane command line switch.

Brian,
Thanks so much for your help. In the meantime I opened another user in
control panel/mail and then imported from the old .pst into the new .pst.
That cured the problem. Your way may have been simpler! Thanks again for your
help,
Ross.

Never import from a PST. It's unnecessary and you lose data.
