Michael

I work at a blood collection organization with three
locations. I want to create three public calendars so
that appointments can be entered in for each site by
multiple end users. I have Exchange 2000 and all clients
are running Office 2002. We do have the ability to
upgrade to Office 2003 if needed. I am using it
currently in a testing platform. From what I have been
reading I need to create a resource, log in and set up
Outlook as I want it to look, and share the calendar.
For some reason something is not clicking for me. Can
anyone provide the necessary steps needed to achieve the
desired outcome? One last question, i need to schedule
the appointments in 15 minute blocks for each location,
and each site has various hours of operation. Can these
settings be changed inside of Outlook? Thank you in
advnace for any help you can provide.

Dear Michael,

Well, I'll take a crack at this for you.

First, if you want three calendars, then yes, set them up
as resources. To do this:
This feature requires you to be using a Microsoft
Exchange Server e-mail account.

This procedure works only if you are the resource
administrator or you've been given owner permissions.

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click Calendar
Options.
Click Resource Scheduling.
Click the options you want.
Click Set Permissions
Click the Permissions tab, and then click Add.
In the Type name or select from list box, enter the name
of each person you want to grant permissions to, clicking
Add after each name.
Click OK.
In the Permission Level list, click Author.
BTW, the above is from the Outlook Help.

To change the calendar to 15 minute intervals, right
click on the calendar and choose Other Settings. Set the
Time Scale to 15 minutes.

I have created the resource, but when I try to add the
calendar in my Outlook 2003, the name does not come back?
