I have a user who doesn't want his free/busy times
published when someone is trying to include them in a
meeting. We suggested post 0 months of his free/busy
time. This worked for quite awhile; when someone checked
his availablity through free/busy search it showed "No
Information" with "/////" throughout each day of his
calendar. For some unknown reason just before we moved to
Outlook 2002 this changed and his when a free/busy search
was performed against his calendar "gray" for everyday as
if he was always available.

For someone who does not want their availabity or for that
matter their unavailabilty posted on their calendar, does
anyone know how to force a free/busy search to return "No
Information" available for his calnedar when trying to
scheduling him for a meeting.

Thank for any information you might be able to provide.

Hi Howie,

If Free/Busy is being shown in gray it means "unknown" which I would
say is the equivalent of "no information", not "free" which would
appear in white and "blue" for busy.

The possible reasons for free/busy appearing as unknown are listed
under Help on the web page where the free/busy times appear.

If the user doesn't want free/busy information appearing, in Outlook
2002, go to Tools | Options | Calendar Options | Free/Busy Options

If under the heading Internet Free/Busy, Publish and search using
Microsoft Office Internet Free/Busy Service is ticked, untick it and
no Free/Busy Information will be sent to the internet.

Hope this helps.
