Hello,

Is there any type of calendar add-on/software that I can use with Outlook
Express? I've tried using Outlook for e-mails as I would like pop-up
reminders each day, but it can't handle HTTP e-mail accounts so I'm stuck
with Outlook Express

Hope someone can help?

I don't know of one; might want to ask in an OE group. What version of
Outlook did you use? OL2002 supports HTTP accounts..what kind are you trying
to use?

Hi there,

I use Outlook XP and it's near-to useless with my Hotmail and MSN accounts.
Thanks for the e-mail.

Accessing my Hotmail/MSN accounts in Outlook XP is VERY slow.

Firstly, the auto send/receive when I open Outlook XP seems to freeze the
program for several mins, then the folders are not open automatically, when
I select to open them there is a big pause, then messages that are not
already downloaded take many seconds longer to pop up than they do in
Outlook Express.

Basically Outlook seems to be VERY slow when using it for HTTP accounts.
Outlook Express is much faster (I guess that's why it's called 'Express'
:-) ).

I'm not sure what SP I have, but I remember having problems installing one a
very long time ago (I think it came up with an error about it could not find
a file and stopped installing half-way), though my machine has been
reinstalled at least once since then.

What problems are you having with Hotmail/MSN? Perhaps if you post the
symptoms someone can help you. A lot of people use it successfully. What SP
do you have on Office XP?
