Why does my Outlook 2002 not open with the calendar "Accept" option when I
receive an appointment from someone else? If I send a calendar appointment
to myself at work, it shows up fine and I am able to accept it and it will
enter into my calendar.

Is the message being sent using Outlook Rich Text Format?

After furious head scratching, DennyF asked:

Double click on your addressees and select Properties (or Outlook
Properties) - please folks, you REALLY need to post your version when you
ask a question) and ensure the message is to be sent using Outlook Rich Text
Format.
