Calendar appointment request problem

I was sent a calendar appointment from someone else. The message sent to me
went to someone else on the network. We use Outlook 2000 and exchange server
2000. Nothing in my sent items, even though the reciepent's e-mail showed it
was from me. How could this happen?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
