calculations

I am trying to do the following calculations in Excel 97
but it reports ##### for the value.
The calculation is the bottom figure minus the top.

23:30 23:03 23:02 22:14
01:19 00:29 00:31 22:30
##### ##### ##### 00:16

Hope somebody can help

Hi
looks liek you're calcualting your working time. As the bottom figure
is smaller than the top figure you get a negative time and this is
displaye as '############'.
Try the following
=(A2<A1)+A2-A1
and copy to the right (if row 1 is your top row and row 2 your bottom
one)
