Someone please help me to figure out how to add 3 fields together in Form
View. I need to add these fields together and show the sum in a separate
field. I have Microsoft Professional Suite including Access 2003. I just need
to do a simple addition but I can seem to find out how to get it to appear in
my total field.

Hi Pam,
Are you using a text box. If so, in design view type into the text box
what you need.
=[field1]+[field2]+[field3]
whatever your fields are will naturally take the place of the example.
Go back to form view and see if it works.
If this does not work, I'll leave you to the pro's, I'm just sitting here
waiting on an answer!!

Just make sure your textbox names are different from the fields they
contain. Access can't determine what you want to add together if the field
is named the same as the control; you'll see #Name? or #Error displayed. So
if the field is called "Value1", then the textbox's name should be something
like "txtValue1".
