Calculating VAT

Can someone help me with how to calculate the VAT of a cell and to only show
what the VAT amount is ie the VAT for £250 is: £37.23 and i need to know the
formula for this.

VAT Amount = (Gross Amount * VAT Rate)/(100 + VAT Rate)
