calculating from other sheets

I have a workbook for each month. Each worksheet gives information for each
day in the month. I have a list of parts and have a calculation on each
sheet which is totalled on a final sheet in the workbook. When the machine
parts get to a certain amount a message pops up beside that part saying the
part needs to be serviced. The problem I have is that after that message
pops up I need to be able to clear the total and start again from the next
day on the sheet.

At the moment my spreadsheet just uses formulas. Would you be able to help
me create a reset button so that when the button is pressed it clears the
current total and takes the total from that date onward.

Yes, but I am having difficulty envisaging what is happening.

Can you post example data and the relevant formulae to help?
