"calculated" fields

I am a new Access user, so this may be a simple question

Where do i put an expression to give a calculated value in
a from or report that also saves the value to the database

Unless there is a pressing business need, there's no need to both calculate
a value and to save it. Just use the calculation whenever you want to find
the value.

You can build a query that includes calculations, then use that query for
forms (or reports).
