Calculated field in report

Hello,
I have a table with a field called InOut. The values in this field are
either I or O. They have corresponding start dates and end dates. So for
example, a record might have an InOut value of O and a start date of 01/03/05
and an end date of 15/03/05. I want to create a report which calculates the
difference for those dates for In, Out and All. I want it laid out kind of
like the example below.
System 1 System 2
In Out All In
Out All
Centre 1
Centre 2
Centre 3
etc

I have the All average working properly but i'm not sure how to get text box
to calculate the average where the InOut fields are either I or O.

I hope that description was sufficient.
Any help is greatly appreciated :)
 
Please provide more information. Where does the "System" value come from?
How about the "Centre"? What are all the significant field and table names?
Some sample data would also help.
