Hi,

Can anyone tell me if understand the license correct.

When running 1 Win2000 server with 6 XP workstations connecting to it you
need 6 CAL's.
When running 2 Win2000 server with 6 XP workstations connecting to it you
need 12 CAL's

Is this correct

Correct,

When running 2 Win2000 server with 6 XP workstations connecting to it you
need 12 CAL's

In my understanding of the MS CALs this would depend on if the 2 Win 2k
servers were in separate domains or not. If they are in the same domain you
would only need 6 Win 2k CALs in per seat mode. If the 2 Win 2k servers are
in separate domains you would need 1 CAL for each XP computer in each domain
it needs to log in to, in per seat mode.

That is how I understand it as well. 1 CAL can touch all
of your servers in the same domain.
