CAD Program?

My wife & I are thinking of remodeling the kitchen, adding a few new
wrinkles, moving cabinets around etc.. Is there are program that would aid
in the planning.

There sure are. Try the IKEA kitchen planner first. I *really* like this
app. NOT mentioned on the sites -> it comes in two flavors of measurement:

metric version is here:
