Caching only 2 weeks worth of email within Outlook 2007?

Basically i'm after a setup like you have with Windows Mobile but on my
laptop, for example I want a full outlook configuration on my desktop with
all of my email both current and historic available.

On my laptop I wish for it to only sync the previous 2 weeks worth of email.
This process shouldn't effect the exchange mailbox so all mail is still
available on the desktop machine......

Is this possible?

If you're using an Exchange account on the laptop as well, it's going to
access everything in the mailbox. If you have more than two weeks of data
in the mailbox, that's what Outlook will show you unless you create a filter
for the view that shows only the most recent two weeks.

Why do you care if the laptop can access the same data the desktop does?

It's purely down to the volume of mail as usual :/

I've suggest archiving, filing etc to no avail, its simply what the user
wants!

The volume of mail doesn't change when examining the mailbox from one or 50
computers. The mailbox contains what it contains. That's like saying the
person wants to see only the last two weeks of mail only when viewing it
with the left eye.
