Cacheprefix registry key

IE 6 on Windows XP, Server 2003. Various sp/patch levels.

Can anyone tell me what the following registry setting is used for, or point
me to a good resource? Of course, the hive and the number after MSHist
varies.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\5.0\Cache\Extensible Cache\MSHist012006062620060703
The specific value is CachePrefix with data something like :2006062620060703:

A spyware scanner is flagging this as a problem. I think it is a false
positive, but without knowing the function of the setting I cannot be sure.
